AI ecosystem & network access

Access to the AI community, events and innovation networks for exchange, knowledge transfer and visibility

The EDIH-AICS supports businesses and organisations in navigating the dynamic AI ecosystem, establishing relevant contacts and gaining access to networks, events and innovation platforms. Artificial intelligence is evolving rapidly: new technologies, providers, research findings and regulatory developments are emerging all the time. It is therefore crucial for businesses to connect with the right stakeholders, information and opportunities for exchange.

Through the EDIH-AICS, companies gain access to a diverse network of businesses, AI experts, start-ups, research institutions, technology providers and innovation stakeholders at regional, national and European levels. We help them to identify relevant partners, establish suitable contacts and better understand current developments in the AI landscape.

A key component of the programme is networking within the AI community through events, specialist forums and opportunities for exchange. The EDIH-AICS organises and supports various initiatives that facilitate companies’ access to knowledge, trends, experts and new opportunities for collaboration. These include, for example:

  • AIxIA – the Franco-German AI conference for cross-border exchange, featuring presentations, demos and networking on current AI topics with representatives from industry and academia.
  • KI-Connect – a pitch and matchmaking event that brings together companies facing specific challenges with providers of innovative AI solutions, facilitating direct dialogue and new collaborations.
  • Bunte Nacht der Digitalisierung – a digital city festival that showcases Karlsruhe’s innovation and digital ecosystem and connects businesses, research, public administration and society.
  • TECH.minds – a programme offering in-depth insights into technological AI trends and innovations, aimed particularly at AI experts and development teams.
  • Regional Conference on the Mobility Transition – a specialist conference focusing on sustainable mobility, innovations and technological developments in the mobility sector.
  • NEO Innovation Award – a platform for showcasing outstanding innovations and connecting stakeholders from business, academia and technology development.

You can find all our events here

Furthermore, through delegation visits and international exchange programmes, the EDIH-AICS provides insights into the Karlsruhe innovation ecosystem, other European innovation regions (e.g. Eindhoven, NL, or Catalonia, ES) and facilitates connections with relevant stakeholders. National and international delegations gain access to institutions, innovation centres, companies and projects in the Karlsruhe region and other European innovation regions. Through presentations, technology demonstrations and targeted networking events, best practices are highlighted and new collaborations between industry, research and innovation stakeholders are initiated.

Another key component of the programme is supporting companies in raising the profile of their innovations at specialist conferences, trade fairs and industry events. In collaboration with partners from the innovation ecosystem, companies are given the opportunity to present their technologies, products and services to a relevant specialist audience, forge new contacts and position themselves within key AI and technology markets. Joint trade fair appearances create additional reach, boost visibility and facilitate dialogue with potential customers, partners and investors.

Through access to the EDIH-AICS network, companies benefit from an active AI community, new perspectives and concrete opportunities for collaboration and growth in Baden-Württemberg, Germany and across Europe. The aim is to promote knowledge transfer, highlight innovation potential and support companies in strategically developing their AI activities and successfully positioning themselves within the AI ecosystem.
